Obituary
Russell, Carol Shermer, 90, of Tulsa, OK, passed away on January 6, 2023 at Clarehouse in Tulsa, OK. She was born in Muldrow, OK on October 8, 1932.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Lola Shermer, of Ft. Smith, AR; her husband, Jerry W. Russell and son, Steven K. "Pete" Rose, both of Tulsa; and daughter, Kay Russell Sokora of Pilot Point, TX. She is survived by her brother, Michael Shermer and wife, Bonnie of Newnan, GA; cousin, Kay Hays, her "little Sis" of Broken Arrow, OK; sons, Randall E. Rose and wife, Georgia of Tulsa; Michael W. Rose and wife, Gale of Owasso, OK; and son-in-law Tim Sokora of Pilot Point, TX; grandchildren, Christy French and husband, Chuck; Michael Rose and wife, Jessica; Katie Vestal and Eric Wigginton; Lauren Cole and husband, Gabe; Lindsay Smith and husband, Chris; Kelly Pittsinger and husband, Ryon, and Jill Sokora; twelve great-grandchildren, Darbi Vann and husband, Aaron, Kayli, Tyler, Taylor, Nolan, Roman, Easton, Jack, Alyssa, Camden, Cason and Blake; one great-great grandchild, Cooper; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 14, 2023 in the chapel of Asbury Church, 6767 South Mingo, Tulsa, OK.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Clarehouse or Asbury Church.
