Carolyn Merrell Davis, 85, of Tulsa, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2019. She was born September 1, 1933 in Tuleta, TX to Vernice "Jack" and Zora Merrell. She worked in retail sales and accounting, and was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. She enjoyed church activities, prayer group and Bible studies, water aerobics at the YWCA and crafts. She was a seamstress and made stuffed teddy bears. She was a volunteer for various activities. She was a pillar of strength, kindness and grace, put others before herself, was a wonderful cook and everyone loved her. Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Carla McDonnel of Tulsa, Elizabeth Ann Cruzen and husband, Larry of Tulsa; her grandchildren, Trent McDonnel and wife, Ebony, Clint McDonnel, Jeannine Cruzen, Kimberly Reece and husband, Jerry, Angela Lane and husband, Brandon, and Mikki Cruzen; 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Norma Apple and her husband, Edward of Yoakum, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Grady Carlton Davis; her brothers, Max, Roy, (twins) Wayne and Duane Merrell and her sister, Ruth Warwas.
