KNEESE, Carolyn Sue (Denver), passed away Sunday evening, January 6, 2013 with family at her side. Carolyn was born July 29, 1931 in Rogers, AR to Ed and Vada Denver. She graduated from Rogers High School in 1949 and also attended the University of Arkansas. She married Francis Merrill Kooker on February 3, 1951 and together raised two children. They moved to Tulsa in 1967. On September 17, 1971 she married Samuel H. Kneese, Jr. and they enjoyed 31 years together. In the early 1970's, Carolyn worked at Oral Roberts University as an accounts payable clerk and enjoyed the many friends she came to know there. She also worked as the Morrel, Herrold & West Law Firm as a bookkeeper. In later years, she enjoyed running a home make-up and color consulting business. Carolyn was an active member of Southwood Baptist Church and touched the lives of many with her caring friendship. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Kneese and her only sister, Gerry Rakes. She is survived by her son, David Kooker and his wife, June; her daughter, Donna Rutz and her husband, Scott of Oklahoma City, OK; two step-sons, Sam Kneese, III and wife, Sherry of Norman, OK, and Mike Kneese of Claremore, OK; one grandson, Greg of Oklahoma City, OK. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M., Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Moore?s Southlawn. Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 11, 2013 at Southwood Baptist Church, 10110 E. 41st , Tulsa.
