Obituary Carolyn L. Spaulding (Sis. Carol)
(Mom, Mema and Great-Mom)
Sunrise: August 30th 1939 - Sunset: November 18th 2021

Carolyn Spaulding was born on August 30, 1939 to Ray and Minnie Walcher in Ponca City, Oklahoma above a grocery store. Carolyn attended and graduated from Ponca City High School in 1958.
Carolyn was saved at an early age in the Nazarene Church. At the age of 16 she attended a youth revival at the local Assembly of God Church where she received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Carolyn began piano lessons at age 7 and by the age of 12 was the youth pianist for her church. Carolyn had dreams of becoming a concert pianist but ultimately served as a church pianist most of her life.
In 1959 Carolyn married her high school sweetheart. To this union there were added two children, Cheryl Lynn and Charles Everett II. Shortly after their wedding they went to California to attend Life Bible College to become Foursquare pastors. During their time in Bible College Carolyn worked as a school teacher. They graduated from Bible College in 1971 and moved back to Oklahoma where they pastored in Oklahoma City, Midwest City and Henryetta.
In 1974 as a single mother Carolyn would begin a long journey of ministry. This change led her to a group of churches that would minister healing and restoration to her and her children. Carolyn became acquainted with Rev. Levada White who upon meeting her said "I have some people you need to meet." It was this, which lead Carolyn to the House of Prayer Churches. Mother Grace Tucker, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mother Ethel Lovelace, Beggs, Oklahoma, Pastor Gladys Hunt, Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Mother Lucille Lang, Boynton, Oklahoma, Rev. Henry McGriff and Mother Carrie Lewis, Grayson, Oklahoma. These pastors along with their families and congregations were instrumental in loving Carolyn back to sanity.
In 1985 she opened the Mercy House in Oklahoma City, where she housed and ministered to unwed mothers and recovering alcoholics. Carolyn was a mother to the motherless in their time of crisis. Each new mother at the Mercy House could look forward to one night each week that Carolyn took their baby for the night to give the mother a time for uninterrupted rest.
In 1986 ministry called her to Tulsa Oklahoma where she worked again with the House of Prayer Churches and the fellowship meetings on every Monday night.
Her ministry was diverse taking her to many different places, Prisons, Rescue Homes, churches and home bible studies. Throughout her walk with the Lord and hunger for the word she became a Bible teacher with extensive knowledge of the word and the power of the spoken word.
On Thursday, November 18, 2021 Carolyn was called from labor to reward in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents, ten siblings and one grandson, Jeremy Judkins.
