Carrol Francis Rust, 65, of Tulsa, OK, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 16, 1977, at St. John Medical Center, Tulsa, OK. He was born on Saturday, September 9, 1911, in Fort Smith, AR, to Grover Cleveland Rust and Chlora Ethel (Kuhn) Rust. Carrol was married to the love of his life, Bonnie Edna (Chance) Rust, and a member of Sheridan Road Baptist Church. He was a retired heavy equipment operator, Past Monarch of The Saba Grotto, member of A.P.L.A. Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, Tulsa Masonic Lodge #71, and International Union of Operating Engineers Local 627. He is survived by his wife, Edna; son, Jimmy Rust; stepsons, Gayle Moreland and Glen Moreland; 7 brothers, Phil Erwin Rust of Houston, TX, Paul James Rust of Fairview, CA, Norvelle Edward Rust of Antlers, OK, Mansel Rust of Cucamonga, CA, George Rust of Bakersfield, CA, Bill Rust of San Antonio, TX, and Lawrence Rust of Tulsa, OK; 6 sisters, Lucretia Addy of Bakersfield, CA, Marthella Groe of Bakersfield, CA, Marie Van Valkenberg of Laporte, CO, Chlora Baker of Tulsa, OK, Louise Thorne of Tulsa, OK, and Florec McKay of Henryetta, OK; many nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, John Edward Rust. Carrol will be greatly missed in the days ahead, but his spirit and memories will live on within us, because we were privileged to have him in our lives.
