Carroll Britt Penn, age eighty-six, passed away at his home in Catoosa, Oklahoma on Friday, April 14, 2023. "Britt" was born January 6, 1937 in Drumright, Oklahoma to Joseph and Irene Penn and the family returned to Okmulgee during his early years. He graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1955 and undertook a career as an electrician, from which he retired in his late seventies. Britt lived in Okmulgee until the mid-1970s, then lived in the Tulsa area the remainder of his life.
Britt is survived by his wife of nearly thirty-five years, Edine Penn; daughters Carol Harper and husband Gary of Norman; Susan Dragoo and husband Bill of Norman; his brother Doug and wife Connie of Okmulgee; grandsons Mark Fields and wife Jessica of Oklahoma City; Jason Wyatt and wife Shea of Moore; Daniel Harper of Norman and John Ketring of Norman; great-grandchildren, Sophia Fields and Viola Fields of Oklahoma City and Chloe Wyatt of Moore; nephews Chris Penn and wife Kim of Owasso and Dusty Penn and wife Chelsea of Tulsa; stepdaughters Angela Buescher of Spring, Texas, and Christine Parker of Catoosa; and step-grandchildren Heather Calkins of North Dakota, Shane Parker and wife Mallory of Sapulpa, Joshua Parker and wife Katy and Justin Parker of Gadston, Alabama; Drew Buescher, Brookelle Buescher, Bethany Buescher and Breanna Buescher all of Spring, Texas. Britt is also survived by the mother of his children, Jane Morgan of Garfield, Arkansas.
Britt was a follower of Christ and a member of Victory Church in Tulsa for many years. He was an avid reader and skilled at many things, including bow making and archery, motorcycle riding and mechanics, and building model airplanes. He was also dedicated to physical fitness and particularly enjoyed the practice of Wing Chun martial arts.
Services are set for Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at one o'clock in the afternoon at Rosewood Chapel, 2570 S. Harvard, Tulsa,
