Charles "Chuck" Barbre
Chuck Barbre died peacefully on December 6, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born on June 27, 1939 in Kincaid, Illinois to Harris and Agnes Nichols and was raised by his adoptive parents, John and Helen Barbre. Chuck was a graduate of the Tulsa Central Class of 1957 and the University of Tulsa. Chuck was one of the Principal owners of Barbre Group Investments.

Chuck is survived by his wife Gail, daughter and son-in-law Helen and John Stephens, daughter Carla Davie, and 5 grandchildren: Hannah Stephens, Amanda Stephens, Jack Stephens, Nick Davie and Alex Davie. He is also survived by his siblings, Robert Barbre, Sally Barbre McCoy, Betty Wolfinger, Helen Traver, and preceded in death by brother, Earl Thayer. He is also survived by several beloved nieces, nephews and "adopted" family members. Chuck will be remembered for his love of his family, the outdoors, hunting, grilling (Hasty-Bake, of course), good friends, famous "C.G.S.", good stories, and fine wine. His larger than life presence will be missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Salvation Army of Tulsa in his honor.
