Obituary

Charles D. Berry, owner of Berry Tool and Supply, died December 11 at St. Francis Hospital after a brief illness, including complications from Covid and Pneumonia.
Mr. Berry, known as "Chuck," was 84.
Charles Dixon Berry, Jr. was born in Tulsa on April 23, 1940, the eldest of two sons of Charles Dixon Berry and his wife Gwen Mae (Northington) Berry. He attended Central High School and graduated with a Business degree from the University of Oklahoma.
After college, he joined the family business, Berry Tool, on Admiral Boulevard. He served in the Air Force Reserve in 1964. When his father retired, he continued to manage Berry Tool for many years. Later, he worked at the Whirlpool factory in Tulsa until retirement.
Mr. Berry loved his dog Rose, watching football, shopping at flea markets, and cars - especially Corvettes and Mustangs.
Chuck Berry is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Thomas Lee and Kathleen Berry, of Tulsa; his two daughters, Robyn Bradsher Meredith of New York City and Wendy Elizabeth Berry of Ashland, Ore.; and their mother, his former wife Marcia Ellen (Meredith) Hensley of Laramie, Wyo.
He leaves two grandsons, Christopher Henry Bradsher of Los Angeles and Miles Nalu Andrews of Ashland, Ore. He also leaves his first cousins - Betty L. (Berry) Benge and her husband Steve Benge of Tulsa, Lary Simms of Las Vegas, and Charlene Doyle and Nancy Rodgers, both of McAlester.
Chuck Berry is also survived by his nieces Amy England of Tulsa and Lisa Coffey of Oklahoma City, a nephew, John Berry of Tulsa, and his friends Mark Lyons and Gordon Murray, along with numerous other relatives and friends who appreciated his easy smile and cheerful manner. He was predeceased by his parents and his companion Zoe Margaret Able.
