Charles (Chuck) E. Carey, 82, of Tulsa, OK, passed away on January 23, 2025, at home. He was born June 13, 1942 in Natchez, MS, the son of Ann (Smith) and Jesse Carey.
He joined the Marines at the age of 17 and served as a Sargent until he retired in 1967.
Chuck and Rheta Carey were married for forty-three years and enjoyed many years of motorcycle riding. Chuck was known as "Hightop" among his motorcycle friends. He worked for many years at Fisher Products in Tulsa as a machinist until retirement.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Rheta (Hendrix) Carey of Tulsa, OK; Sons: Ed (Nikki) Carey; Pat (Brianna) Carey; and Matthew Carey, all of Tulsa, OK and Daughter: Candi Hamilton of Belgrade, MT; Grandchildren: William (Tori) Carey, Olivia (Max) Brewer, Ethan Carey, Preston Carey, Natalie Carey, Alaina Carey, Kyler Carey, Matthew Carey, Jr., Lydia Carey, Josh Winfield, Hope Hamilton, Tori Hamilton, and Lena Hamilton. One Great Granddaughter: Dani Mae just born in December 2024.
Preceding Chuck in death are his parents and his twelve siblings.
Graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 31st at Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
