He married Milarie Baird on August 8, 1946 in Texarkana, TX after returning from a tour of duty with the navy in WWII. They moved to Tulsa, OK to seek work and start their family. Together they raised two children, Rusty and Teresa.
Chuck enjoyed woodworking and building Christmas displays for the home as well as gardening and planting flowers every season. He was devoted to St. Mark's UMC, thoroughly enjoyed teaching Sunday School and preparing Communion Services. He was also very involved with the Boy Scouts of America serving as a scoutmaster for troop 113 for several years and was an avid supporter of the Girl Scouts with his daughter. Always calm, cool, collected and stoic, he gave people assurance and confidence in life. To be the best person they could be.
