CLAYBAUGH, Charles V., 90, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016 in Tulsa, OK. Born December 24, 1925 in Tulsa, OK to Berdine Ward and Bernice (Beery) Claybaugh. Charles was raised in Tulsa and graduated in the class of '43 from Will Rogers High School and after an interruption during WWII, graduated from Tulsa University.

While serving in Patton's Third Army, he made the statement "that if I ever get home, I'll never leave", and he never did, except on vacations. He met and married Mary Alice Masters and they celebrated 68 years together last August. They had two daughters, Vicki (Bill) Richisin, and Randi (Jay) Boyles; three granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Vernon (Darlene) Claybaugh. He is predeceased by his parents.

He is a life-long member of University United Methodist Church and thoroughly enjoyed working and projects with special talented men there. He loved fishing, hunting, and watching TU sports. As a family and as a couple, they traveled extensively, liked to ski, spelunk, float the Illinois, and spend time at the lake.

He is known for his hobby of making bird houses (not for birds), often duplicating businesses of friends, seasons, and holidays. Those who knew him feel the emptiness of his great love and sense of humor.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the University Church or Physician's Choice Hospice as they will be gratefully accepted.
