Charles Cohen, Jr., 50, of Tulsa, OK, passed away Thursday, October 28, 1976, at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, OK. He was born on Saturday, April 17, 1926, in Pueblo, CO, to Charles Cohen, Sr., and Edith (Levine) Cohen. Charles was proud to have been a Technician 5th Grade in the United States Army infantry, in WWII. Mr. Cohen was the owner of Cohen Construction Co., a road construction firm, which he founded in 1969. He previously was employed by Standard Industries, and was co-owner of a Poteau, OK, trucking firm. Mr. Cohen was reared in Marshall, TX, and came to Tulsa, OK, approximately 20 years ago. He graduated from Louisiana Tech University, Ruston, LA, and received his Master's Degree in Engineering from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, LA. He was a member of the Associated General Contractors, the National Asphalt Association, and was active in the Tulsa Jewish community. Charles is survived by his wife, Mona (Olds) Cohen, of the home; three sons, Lewis Sidney Cohen of Tulsa, OK, Samuel D. Cohen and Benjamin Cohen, both of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Rebecca Ferguson, Longview, TX, and Miss Deborah K. Cohen, of the home; three grandchildren; brother, Lewis B. Cohen, Dallas, TX; and a lifetime of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
