Obituary

Kindest man, man of God, wonderful husband, father, and Papa, Charles Dwight Creveling, was born on August 23,1943 in Geary, Oklahoma to Stella Mae (Keely) and Vincent D. Creveling. Dwight passed away from this life on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025, surrounded by family, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 81. Dwight graduated from Geary High School on May 12th, 1961, where he was president of Future Farmers of America, wrestled, played football, and played the trumpet in the high school band. He attended Oklahoma State University where he continued his wrestling career, until his father passed and he was called to help his family on their farms while continuing school. He transferred to and graduated from Southwestern State in 1967 with a degree in accounting. He worked for the US General Accounting Office in Dallas before being drafted and serving in the 92nd Finance Division of the Army during the Vietnam War and returned with an honorable discharge. Upon returning to Oklahoma, he worked in an accounting firm doing auditing. He spent the majority of his professional life with NGL Supply in Tulsa, OK where he became CFO until retirement. He married Jan on April 16th, 1995 in Tulsa, OK, where they were both active members of First Presbyterian Church. Dwight was a Deacon in the church and a member of The Sojourner Sunday school class. After retirement, he focused on family and friends. He and Jan traveled often, taking "mini-moons" to see places on their bucket list. He also made his grandchildren a priority by visiting them often. From 1991-1992, he participated in the XVIII class of Leadership Tulsa, he was on the board of directors of Tulsa Big Brothers and Sisters, and was a Treasurer on the Tulsa Ballet Board. His favorite volunteering opportunity was Helping Hands at First Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Jan Wagner Creveling, his two children from his first marriage, Pilar Bleakley of Dallas, TX, and Chad Creveling of Tulsa, OK, and stepchildren, Jamee Briggs (John) of Evergreen, CO, Abby Stewart (David) of Lakewood, CO, Hallie Lorimer (Doug) of Laguna Niguel, CA, and Ben Thompson (Kat) of West Orange, NJ. He is also survived by fourteen beloved grandchildren, Jackson, Miles, Caroline, Lucy, Zoe, Tyler, Henry, Walker, Ashton, Neilly, Thomas, Douglas, Hudson, and Tala, and other extended family. He is predeceased by his parents, sister, Kaye Hamm (Carl), and brother, Duane Creveling (Patsy). His family would like to especially thank his caregivers, Susie and Ceci, and doctors, Dr. Hubner and Dr. Klos. His gentle spirit and sweetness will be remembered by many. His Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 16th at 2pm at First Presbyterian Church, 709 South Boston Avenue, Tulsa, OK 74119).
