Charles Leonard Hanks, Jr., 54, of Chouteau, OK, or as he was known to all, Chuck or Chuckles, was set free from his earthly body and home, and went to his heavenly home and Father, on Friday, December 6, 2019. He was born on Wednesday, June 16, 1965, in Crowley, LA, to Charles Leonard Hanks, Sr., and Geraldine (Pilcher) Hanks. Chuck was the owner of Chuck's Painting, a residential and construction painting company. He was painting a house when he passed, and his kind, loving "727 Club" family finished the job for him. Chuck married his soul mate and best friend, his "Lady Blu," and "True Blu North," Angie Hanks, on Tuesday, June 20, 2017. Chuck was a preacher's kid, and both his parents were very musical. He was a talented artist, enjoyed Christian and country music, singing and playing his guitar, and he loved playing in the "Sharon Sharp Band." Chuck also was an avid sports fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pool, the LSU Tigers, and New Orleans Saints. Chuck is survived by his wife, Blu; mother, Geraldine Hanks; children, Laura H. Candley, Ethan Hanks, Isaac Hanks, Chelsea Hanks, Gabrielle Hanks, Eleasia Dore, and Chase Hanks; brothers, Gerami Hanks, Jonathan Hanks, and Todd Hanks; sister, Cathy Hanks; grandchildren, Evan, Aubrey, and Zachary; and a lifetime of friends. He was preceded in death by his father and Angie's son, Billy. Chuck was taken from us way too soon, and though he will be greatly missed in the days ahead, his spirit and memories will live on within each of us, because we were privileged to have him in our lives.
