With saddened hearts, but an abundance of gratefulness for the grace of God, we announce that our beloved father Charles Larry Kirk, of Tulsa, Ok, peacefully went home to be with our Lord on Sunday, February 22nd, 2026

Born in Tulsa, Ok on September 11, 1942, Larry was preceded in death by his wife Debra Swepston Kirk, parents Charles and Irene Kirk, in-laws Homer and Sue Swepston, and brother James Kirk.

Larry leaves behind many loved ones including his daughter Julia and Edward Bartlett, daughter Karen and Tom Bannon Jr., grandchildren Marc and Justine Bartlett, Cody and Ashleigh Bartlett, T.J. Bannon and Kristen Slupsky, Sarah and Eyan Barry, great grandchildren Kassondra Bartlett, Jackson and Jason Bartlett, and Kinsley Barry, sister-in-law Sue Kirk, brother Roger and Joyce Kirk, brother Steve and Marian Kirk, sister-in-law Viki Keller, sister-in-law Marilyn and Keith Mauldin, brother-in-law Paul Swepston, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews, and extended family.

As a younger man, Larry and Debra were very involved in their Baptist church- even leading the adult singles group for many years.

Larry was a career draftsman with a love of the outdoors, which he shared with family during many hunting and fishing adventures.

He was meticulous, at times quiet, and a very proper man who took responsibility seriously. A bit old-fashioned in ways, yet he could have his silly and funny moments as well.

A term very frequently used in reference to Larry was "kind" - what a gift to the world and a great example for us all.

A celebration of life will be held for Larry on Saturday, February 28th, 2026 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel 9350 E. 51st St., Tulsa, Ok at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be sent in honor of Larry to the Tulsa SPCA.
