Charles C. Miller passed away on January 3, 2021 in Tulsa Oklahoma at 99 years old, 28 days before his 100th birthday. Born January 31, 1921 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to W.R. and Alpha Miller, he grew up in Tulsa and graduated from Rogers High School. On October 26, 1941, he married Sylvia Geneva Hudson. Charles and Sylvia moved to Wichita, Kansas, and he went to work for Boeing. After the start of World War II, Charles was drafted into the Army and was assigned to a unit within the 9th Air Force in the European theater. After the war ended, he returned to Tulsa and reunited with his wife and his first daughter whom he had not seen. Charles started at the DX Refinery in 1945. And his second daughter was born. Charles enjoyed his work at DX Refiners and worked 37 years, retiring from Sun Oil Co. in 1982. He built a house on land west of Sand Springs, planted a large garden, raised cattle, fished and enjoyed seeing family and his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and three sisters.

Survived by brother Bill Miller and wife Ebbie, daughters, Carol McCoy and husband, Pat, and Judy Criner and husband, Mitch; grandsons, Jason McCoy and wife Karen and Jared McCoy and wife, Charlene; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Elisabeth, Seth, Ross, Katelynn, and Anna and five nieces and nephews. Charles was a husband, father, grandfather and a friend to many. He enjoyed life and loved being around people. He really enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 5 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, OK.
