Obituary

Charles Leon Patton passed away on September 18, 2023, at his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was an adoring husband and a loving brother, father and grandfather. Charles (Charlie) was born on February 25, 1934, to the late Virgil Wayne and Bessie.
Charles is survived by his wife of 62 years, Coe Ann; his daughter & son in law Bill and Paula Hutchinson, of Tulsa, Ok.; Son, Patrick Patton of Tulsa, Ok.; Cody Chapman, Becca, son Braylon, daughters Lyric Rose and Waverley, Destin, Lyric Rose. Paige Patton, husband Marshall and daughter Amelia. Predeceased by parents, Virgil and Bessie Patton, Wayne Patton, brother
Like many Charles attended Cyril Schools, He was also industrious, working summers at the family farm spending untold hours miking and caring for cattle. Charles spent his career working in the aviation industry employed by Boeing (15 years), American Airlines (32 years) and Trinity Woods.
Charles was active in his community. In later years, he was active as a volunteer at Boston Avenue Church driving the bus transporting seniors on outings and driving a shuttle on Sunday mornings. Volunteered for Meals on Wheels delivering food to folks, he loved making them smile. In his later years he and his son law attended a Sunday School at Christ Methodist church.
He participated on the Boeing bowling team and won several trophies. He was a member of the local motorcycle club and they would take trips together on their motorcycles to watch the races. Played tennis on the American Airlines tennis team and won several tournaments. Assisted with boy scouts and loved to fish. Member of the Tulsa Chapter Clock Club for many years. There was nothing that he couldn't fix.
