Obituary

SASSER, Charles Edward was born in Starr, OK on October 11, 1930 and went home to the Lord on October 16, 2017 in Tulsa, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Allie Sasser; two sisters, Georgia and Zula; one newborn son; and two granddaughters.

He is survived by four daughters, Linda McElroy and husband, Bill, Debra Clem-Hobson and husband, Alan, Nancy Cline, and Wanda Antoine and husband, Joseph; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

He served in the 1st Calvary Division of the U.S. Army. During the Korean War, he was stationed in Japan and Korea and was awarded the Korean Service Medal with three stars, Bronze Service Medal, U.N. Service Medal, Army of Occupation Medal, and the Combat Infantry Badge. Retiring after 20 years as a bus driver for Greyhound Bus Lines; his hobbies included weekly meetings with fellow Korean vets and following the economic market.
