Obituary

Charles Wayne "Chuck" Selvidge, 69, passed away on October 3, 2026. He was born on March 14, 1957, in Denver, Colorado, to Charles Parker Selvidge and Myrtle Pace Selvidge.

Chuck was a very private and quiet man, with a reserved strength that was evident to everyone who knew him. He was calm under pressure, steady in difficult times, and always carried himself with a positive attitude. He had a great sense of humor and a way of uplifting those around him.

Above all, Chuck loved his family dearly. His love was often shown through his presence, his strength, his prayers, and the way he stood beside the people he loved. His faith in his Savior was a cornerstone of his life. He stood firm in his faith and believed deeply in the power of prayer. His positive attitude, strong faith, and the many prayers of his family and friends extended his life and uplifted many along the way.

Chuck was an outdoorsman at heart. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, bird hunting, and deer hunting. He also had a lifelong love of NASCAR and racing. His passion for the outdoors and racing was passed down to all of his children, creating memories and traditions that will continue through the generations.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Parker and Myrtle Pace Selvidge; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Barbara Headrick; and his nephew, Chris Selvidge.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Eileen Selvidge; his children, Charles Jeremy Selvidge and wife Vicki, Jami Nicole Selvidge, William Lee Bowen and wife Rachel, and Phillip James Bowen and wife Abby; and his grandchildren, Maria Turley, Logan, Jordan, Remington Bowen, Walker Bowen, and Hudson Bowen; his nieces and nephews, Scott Selvidge, Holli Headrick, Hillari Headrick, and Robert Headrick; his brother-in-law, Robert Grant Headrick and wife Amy; his brother, David Selvidge and wife Ellen; and many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.

Chuck lived his life with quiet faith, a good attitude, and a deep love for his family. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00am, Friday, October 9, 2026, at Osage Garden Cemetery in Skiatook.
