ALLEN, Charles Thomas, Sr., 82, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013 in Tulsa, OK. Born August 9, 1931 in Tulsa, OK to Thomas Allen and Hattie Buschjost (DiCarlo) Allen. He was an only child and started working early mowing lawns and delivering newspapers. His previous marriage resulted in two children, then two children and two step-children. He married the love of his life in 1983, Sue Pirkey, with two step-children and ended his journey with her.

He graduated high school and Military Avionics engineering Training. He served in the Air National Guard, Air Force Flight Engineer retiring as a Tech Master Sergeant. He also worked at McDonnell Douglas. He enjoyed playing poker with the boys, fishing, watching football, especially the Cowboys Dandy Don Meredith and hearing the ?Turn out the lights?-song. He was notorious for waking everyone up early to listen to music on the reel to reel, telling grand stories of high flying adventure and excitement. Three words sum up the life of Charles: Lucky - it was his nickname, and it was a description of his life and he was blessed with a large and loving family. Outgoing ? always available to lend an ear or a helping hand, and very social and fun loving. Adventurous ? Whether driving fast, flying faster or trying for fast profits in the stock market, he always lived life to the fullest.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Allen; children, Sheila Marlow, Charles Allen, Mary Beth, Willard (step) Toni Cope, Carla Housley, Bill Griffin, and grandchild raised as a child, Shane Pirkey; grandchildren Brandon, Bianca, Shane, and Angie Pirkey; many step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Paige, Jake; Great-great-grandchild, Kamryn; pet, Boo Boo.
