On Wednesday June 21st 2017, our beloved Charlie Dotson was called to be with our Lord.
Charlie experienced a phenomenal 88 years of life. He was a loving husband, father, father in law, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, coworker and friend.

Charlie was born February 19th 1929 in Vian, OK to Tom and Mary Lucinda (Kennedy) Dotson. He was the youngest of 10 siblings, 6 sisters and 3 brothers all of whom proceeded him in death.

Charlie married Edna Pauline Cherry February 26 1947. Their special love lasted 63 years until death parted the two in 2009 with the passing of his beloved wife. That love has been carried on throughout the generations.

Charlie leaves behind 2 sons. John Edward Dotson, and Charles Eugene Dotson (Karla Dotson) all from Sand Springs, OK. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Charlie was always there for all of them and helping whenever needed.

Charlie worked in concrete for many years. The last 30 years Charlie dedicated his time and passion for hard work as a maintenance worker for Tulsa Country Club.

After retiring, Charlie continued his love of fishing and putting out a huge garden each spring. He also loved spending time with his family.

Charlie was a man of few words. He was a great soul and a kind person to all people that he met. He was always willing to help the less fortunate. Although Charlie was a man of few words, he was a man of his word. If he told you he would do something, you could consider it done. He was a man of God and he will be deeply missed.

Viewing will be 1:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Moore's Memory Chapel 1403 S. Peoria Ave. Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 26, 2017 at Moore's Memory Chapel with interment following at Meadowbrook Cemetery-Oakhurst.
