Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, called Cheri Ann Tabler to her heavenly home on Monday, December 30, 2019. Cheri had just enjoyed the annual Christmas gathering and birthday celebration with the family and delighted in exchanging gifts and salutations with several friends. She had a peaceful transition to her final home and we are sure she had a wonderful reunion in heaven as the Online YouVersion Bible's daily scripture was Ecclesiastes 3 - A Time for All Events in Life - the verses we prayed during our mother's funeral service this past summer.
Cheri was born December 22, 1964 in New Orleans, Louisiana a city which she came to love and visit as an adult. Mother had been praying to adopt a girl and she was filled with joy Cheri was placed into mother's arms on January 7. As we drove back to Jackson, Mississippi that day, it was fun to watch the tiny little girl coo, and grasp and wiggle her way into our hearts.
Baptized in New Orleans as the family watched, Cheri began her life under the care of the Holy Spirit. She remained Catholic and received six of the seven Sacraments during her life.
As she grew, Cheri was surrounded by horses, scouts, dancing, and school activities. She developed and exhibited several artistic abilities including beautiful pen and ink sketches. Cheri appreciated her many friends and exciting times. As a young adult, she was thankful to be reunited with her birth family with whom she established relationships.
Cheri worked in health care administration and as an occupational therapist, a skill that was extremely beneficial as her health declined. She was also degreed as a para-legal and worked in law offices in Tulsa.
It is sad to say goodbye but it is wonderful to know that you finally rest in peace far removed from all the worldly toils that you struggled so valiantly.
