Clay Albert Chaney, 74, of Tulsa, OK, passed away Monday, May 16, 1977, at his residence. He was born on July 18, 1902, in Boone, AR, to Albert Dean Chaney and Sarah (Wood) Chaney. He was married to Metta (Mashburn) Chaney, and proud to have served as a Private in the United States Army in WWI. Clay is survived by his wife, Metta, of the home; daughter, Mrs. Alma Coleman of Tulsa, OK; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Hazel Roach of Tulsa, OK and Winnie Burnett of Houston, TX; and a lifetime of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Clay will be greatly missed in the days ahead, but his spirit and memories will live on in each of us; because we were privileged to have him in our lives.
