Obituary

Clay Alexander Moye was born on May 8, 1989 in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. He grew up loving his family, chocolate chip cookies, deer hunting, riding his bike and friends. Clay graduated from Wando High School in 2008.
In 2004, at the age of 14, Clay performed a Heimlich maneuver as his uncle was choking on a piece of meat. Clay shrugged it off and went to school after making sure his uncle was okay. Later that year, Clay was honored with community recognition by the Charleston Red Cross for saving his uncle's life.
Like his father, Clay was extremely talented in building facility maintenance. He excelled in his work at Hillcrest Medical Center while working for CBRE. He was honored with promotions and employee of the month.
A life goal for Clay was to be a husband and father. At Hillcrest Medical Center, Clay met his future wife, Jessica Patrick. They married September 23, 2017. On July 6, 2018, they had their son, Rowan Alexander Moye, who was the light of Clay's life.
Clay is survived by his wife, Jessica and his son, Rowan; his parents, Mitch and Rikki Moye from Mount Pleasant, South Carolina and now Tulsa; his sister, Esther Moye; two nieces, Josey and Penton; his grandfather Bill Rogers of Rock Hill, South Carolina; father-in-law John Patrick; mother-in-law Jeanie Patrick and Randy Groom; brother-in-law Justin Patrick and wife Carmen; sister-in-law Kirsten Groom; nephews, nieces, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many good friends.
Clay was a quiet hero. A good and loving man who believed in helping wherever help was needed. His genuine love of people and his desire to make the world a bit better is missed.
We love you Clay.
