Clayda Mae Stead, 87 of Tulsa passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018. She was born April 12, 1931 in Mansfield, AR to Luke and Pearl Wallace. She was office manager for Wheeler Engineering before her retirement. She graduated from Will Rogers High School, was a longtime member of Republican Women's Club, she ran for city council twice, was appointed by the City Council to the tax overview committee for the City of Tulsa and Tulsa Board of Adjustments. Clayda is survived by her husband of 44 years, Charles E. Stead, Sr.; her daughter, Teresa Ann Harrell Franklin and her husband Gerald of Locust Grove, OK; her step children, Chuck Stead, Jr. and his wife Cindy of AZ, George Stead and his wife Pam of Wichita, KS, Scott Stead and his wife Deborah of Little Elm, TX, Charlene Stead-Sparks and her husband Tom of Ft. Worth, TX; 13 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, 1 sister, 1 grandchild and 1 great-grandchild.
