Cletus Charles Heinritz

Native Tulsan Cletus Charles Heinritz, 91, died Thursday, October 29, 2015 in The Woodlands, Texas. Funeral services will be held in Tulsa at Grace Lutheran Church on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 10:00 a.m.

Clete was born March, 15, 1924 in Red Fork on Tulsa's west side to parents Paul and Flora Heinritz. He graduated early from Webster High School in 1941, skipping commencement and prom, in order to join the Merchant Marines. He served in tours of duty throughout the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans until his honorable discharge on April 10, 1946.

Cletus married Charlcie Sue Hall on November 24, 1948 and together they raised their family, sons Tim and Tom and daughter Becky, in the Tulsa area. He was employed at the Texaco Refinery for 35 years as a machinist and machine shop supervisor where he met many of his life-long friends before retiring in 1983 when the refinery was sold to Sinclair Oil. Clete and Charlcie spent 66 years together in Tulsa before moving to The Woodlands, Texas in April, 2015.

Preceding him in death are parents Paul and Flora Heinritz, son Tom Heinritz, sister Otillia Heinritz, and brothers Hilmar and Floranz (Chub) Heinritz.

Clete is survived by his wife Charlcie, son Tim, daughter Becky and son-in-law Darrell Havill and sister Ernestine Meyer. He dearly loved his grandchildren: Tara Heinritz, Julie Abbott and husband Shane, Jason Heinritz, Jimmy Heinritz, David Havill and Matthew Havill and great-grandchildren: Katelyn Branscum, Kaela Holland and Alaina Holland.
