Mr. Clifton Cade "Billy", son of the late Lester Cade and Mildred Benson Cade was born February, 13, 1934 in Gibson Station, Oklahoma. Clifton was born the second child and only son of four children, all of which proceeded him in death; Marie Candler, Elsa Faye Keys and Dorothy Ray; and grandson Carlos Walker.
Billy as he was affectionately named by his grandmother, attended elementary school in Gibson Station and high school at Lincoln High in Wagoner, where according to his many stories, he was an "all star athlete".
After graduation, Billy moved to Wichita, Kansas, where he worked several odd jobs until returning home to Oklahoma. After returning home, he met the love of his life Velma Jean Hill. He worked for the Acme Brick Company and Red Top before he began his career at the Ford Glass Plant until retirement in 1999. He spent his best years, traveling, playing dominoes, watching westerns and sports (especially the Dallas Cowboys) and hanging out with his family.
Billy and Velma attended St. John Missionary Baptist Church for 42 years before moving their membership to Timothy Baptist for the last 12 years, where he remained active in the Brotherhood, as a Sunday School teacher and Deacon until the end.
Billy leaves to cherish his legacy of love and to celebrate his life, his beautiful wife, Velma Jean Cade and his ten children: William Becknell, Norma Rice, Karen (Cleon) Ratliff, Lois Cade, Ronald (Hope) Randle, Bobby (Jamisha) Cade and Elmyra (Alan) Brown all of Tulsa, OK., Barbara (Ezekiel) Hankins, Wagoner, OK., Clifton (Diane) Cade, Lewisville, TX., and Natalie (Dennis) Cox, Argyle, TX. One special nephew that was raised like a brother, Michael Majors, 39 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
