Consuelo Angela Cardenas Chambers, 71, born to Richard Sharp and Clotilde Cardenas Schnarre on October 1, 1954, in Punta Gorda, Belize, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2026, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Consuelo enjoyed working as a census volunteer by providing Spanish translation assistance and supporting other social service programs. Following her studies in Psychology and Sociology at both Langston University and the University of Oklahoma, Consuelo greatly enjoyed aiding those in need of social support and assistance. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, studying scripture, socializing with family and friends, pets, dancing and listening to Reggae, Jazz and Spanish music.

Consuelo was preceded by her parents, Richard and Clotilde.

She is survived by her daughters, Tonya Ashworth Wyrick and her husband Rodney of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Krystal Stevenson of Finley, Oklahoma; sons, Ronald "Ronnie" Chambers and his wife Genevieve "Joy" of Reston, Virginia, Robert Chambers and wife Leandrea Deshon Curtis of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Paul Stevenson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sisters, Martha Nicholson Clark and husband Tom of Missouri and Salome Grinan Gavilan of Belize; and brothers, Eloy Cardenas of Mexico, Ismael "Patch" Cardenas of Belize, Fred Schnarre of Virginia, and Ed Schnarre of Washington; plus 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Consuelo will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A viewing will be held at Moore's Eastlawn Chapel from 10am-8pm on Friday, May 22, 2026 with a celebration of life with family and friends being held from 5-7pm.
