Crystal Bonita Holcomb, 59, of Tulsa, OK, went to be with her Heavenly Father, on Sunday, May 15, 1977. She was killed in a traffic accident in Neosho County, near Chanute, KS, as she was returning home after attending dog shows in Topeka and Lawrence, KS. Crystal was born on Saturday, April 26, 1919, in Johnson County, Spadra, AR, to Harvey Bowline and Hattie Mae (Collins) Bowline. She was active in the Tulsa Dog Training Club, Animal Aid, and the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Crystal served as training director, president and vice president at the Tulsa Dog Training Club. A resident of Tulsa for about 40 years, Crystal attended the White City Baptist Church. Her husband, David Julius Holcomb, is an employee of Public Service Co. of Oklahoma. She is survived by her husband; 3 daughters, Mrs. Jerry Jones, Mrs. Richard Kemp, and Mrs. Michael Roberts, all of Tulsa, OK; 8 grandchildren; 4 sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Martin and Mrs. Joseph Steinberg, both of Broken Arrow, OK, Mrs. Eli Spurgeon of Skiatook, OK, and Mrs. Verne Cox of Lockford, CA; nieces and nephews; other relatives; and a lifetime of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Crystal will be greatly missed in the days ahead, but her spirit and memories will live on within each of us, because we were privileged to have her in our lives.
