Crystal Lea Lowther was welcomed into the arms of Christ her Lord on October 4, 2020. Crystal Lea was born on October 21, 1946 in Tulsa, OK, to Eugene and Mary Wade. Crystal was the oldest of the three siblings, her sister Jan and brother Tommy. Crystal grew up in West Tulsa. She attended Webster High School where she met her future husband, Glen Lowther. While attending college, Glen and Crystal married August 26th, 1966. While Glen continued his education, Crystal worked as a bookkeeper at Felts Shoes in Tahlequah, OK. After college, Glen and Crystal moved back to West Tulsa, where Crystal worked for JD Young as an Office Administrator. Glen and Crystal bought their first home on Marion St. in Tulsa, OK in 1970. On August 24th, 1972 their first son Jeffrey William was born in Tulsa, OK. Crystal worked as a health clerk at Penn Elementary while Glen was the PE teacher at Woods Elementary. After buying a new home in East Tulsa, Glen and Crystal welcomed their second son, Casey Glen on September 21st, 1979. In the fall of 1980, they began attending Christview Christian Church. They began teaching the pre-school age children at the church and have done so for the past 40 years. They loved traveling and camping with their friends and family. She was a wonderful mother and wife raising two boys. They were active on a church bowling league and she enjoyed the visitation as much if not more than the bowling. She loved all of her friends and family. Her first grandchild was born on November 19th, 1996. Five more grandchildren followed over the years. Later in her career, she became a school secretary until May 1999. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling with church friends, playing with grandchildren, serving at church, and going to the movies.
One of her most wonderful qualities was the ability to love others in all situations. She was the eternal optimist and cherished her family dearly. She truly had the spirit of God and lived it out in everything that she did. Above all, she was a woman of faith; she exemplified a Proverbs 31 woman, clothed in strength and dignity. Crystal is wonderfully loved and will be profoundly missed. Most of all, we will cherish the precious memories she leaves for her family and friends. Crystal is survived by her husband Glen, her sister Jan Bintliff of Bracey,Virginia and brother Tommy Wade of Locust Grove, Oklahoma. She is survived by her children, Jeff and Casey, and her six grandchildren Austin, Mckenzie, Madilyn, Cadence, Ty and Trenton.
