David Gene Wilfong, Jr., 38, of Tulsa, OK went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, March 21, 2019. D. J., as he was known to all, was born on Wednesday, June 11, 1980, in Tulsa, OK, to David Gene Wilfong, Sr. and Lois Anne Moore. D. J. attended Eastland Baptist Church, was in automotive salvage sales, enjoyed working on cars, and loved a good ole muscle car. Fitness and exercise were a high priority in his life. He was an avid fitness buff, and proud of his muscular physique. D. J. was a kind, gentle and free-spirited man who enjoyed comforting others in their time of need and telling a good joke. David Jr. loved his family and friends. D. J. is survived by his wife of 8 years, Janet Betsey; 9 children, Zalee Densmore, Noah Newton, Elisha David Wilfong and Brentley Fennell; daughters, Allison Newton and Mallory Berry, Madison, Raelee and Aubrey Beard; his dear friend, Amanda Smith; 2 sisters, Brinda Brogan and husband, Walter "Joe" of Glenpool, OK, and Marney Payne of Owasso, OK; brother-in-law, Doug Holt of Tulsa, OK; brother, David G. Wilfong, III of Tulsa, OK; Stepmother, Deborah Wilfong; grandchild, Jayden; several nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends. D. J. will be greatly missed in the days ahead, but his spirit and memories will live on within each of us, because we were privileged to have him in our lives. He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents.
