Dale H Borchardt, 78, of Tulsa, Oklahoma entered the presence of Jesus on April 16, 2024 surrounded by family. He was born in Carlton, MN on August 14, 1945 to Harry and Elvie (Chambers) Borchardt. He grew up on the family farm with his brother and 2 sisters. Dale attended school in Cromwell, MN and enjoyed playing football and basketball. After high school, he joined the US Army where he proudly served his country as an MP and infantryman with tours of duty in Germany and Vietnam.
Dale was a member of the Alaska Carpenter's Union where he plied his trade on many projects during the construction boom in Anchorage in the 1970's. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the great outdoors.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolyn, as well as his children: Dawn and husband Shaun O'Laughlin of Eden Prairie, MN, Dale Jr. and his wife Wendy of Esko, MN, Terri and husband Earl Rector of Henryetta, OK and Tanya and husband Darin Johnson of Claremore. Dale was preceded in death by his son, Jason Borchardt.
Dale loved to tease and teach his 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He will be missed but we know the separation is temporary because we grieve with hope.
