Daniel Frank Allis died August 24, 2015 at age 80. Daniel was born on November 30, 1934 in Mount Pleasant, Michigan to Lucius and Eva Allis.
Danny and the love of his life, Louise Wallace, married June 11, 1960. Louise and Danny enjoyed sailing on Grand Lake with friends, family and colleagues. Danny was an avid Boy Scout camper. He enjoyed ship modeling and providing pro bono legal advice to charitable institutions as well as individuals in need. While Danny may not always have been rich in dollars, he was always rich in the joys of personal service.
Danny started his legal career working on the Chapman/McFarlin interests now known as the Chapman Charitable Trust. He later practiced law concentrating in estate planning, trust, and corporate and tax law. Danny was respected by his colleagues for his intelligence, creativity and ethics. He retired from active practice in 1999 but continued to offer his services to his clients as able.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Louise Allis; children, John Allis of Houston, TX, David Allis (Joan) of Dothan, AL, Barbara Smith (Troy) of Broken Arrow; and his 5 grandchildren: Ryan Allis (Brittany), Andrew Allis, Ross Smith (Britelle), Emily Smith and Chloe Allis. He is also survived by many friends, colleagues and clients.

Memorial Service will be at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at All Souls Unitarian Church.
