Obituary

Daniel Biswas, a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished friend, left this world to be with the Lord on October 8, 2024. He was the son of Arun and Maria Biswas and was born in a small village in Barisal, Bangladesh, in 1958. Daniel was the second of nine siblings-eight brothers and one sister. From a young age, he naturally assumed the roles of a caring and loving brother, as well as a guardian figure for his younger siblings. He attended Oxford Mission High School, where he made lifelong friends.

On 16 December 1985, Daniel married Bithika, and for 39 years, he was a devoted and loving husband. He worked for the Church of Bangladesh as a Public Relations Officer for 23 years before deciding to move to the United States in 2004 in pursuit of the American dream and a better future for his family. He became an American citizen and took on the role of a cashier at a convenience store, working seven days a week for almost 20 years. His hard work, dedication, and perseverance were evident in everything he did.

Daniel had a lifelong fascination with space exploration and biblical historical places. He was fond of music and was often found to be humming to his favorite tunes. He also enjoyed good food but remained health-conscious and always made it a point to stay hydrated. He often shared his wisdom with others, advising that the key to a healthy body was to drink three glasses of water first thing in the morning. He was known for carrying a gallon jug of filtered water with him to work and in his car every day.

Daniel's life was defined by his deep faith and profound love for his family. Daniel was a deeply beloved father, uncle, cousin, brother, and friend. He was a rock for many-a loyal friend and trusted advisor. Known for his joyful and lively spirit, Daniel had an incredible ability to connect with people of all generations, making friends regardless of age. His endearing smile and warm demeanor brought joy to everyone he encountered, whether at work or in the community.

His passing was sudden and unexpected. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Raphael. He is survived by his beloved wife, Bithika Biswas, his proud son, David (wife - Sabrina) Biswas, his brothers Samuel, Joel, Michael, Gabriel, Moshi, Liton, and his sister, Mary.

Daniel's warmth, kindness, and unwavering support will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love and faith will live on in the hearts of his family, relatives and friends.
