Daniel Lee Chalakee, 85, of Tulsa, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2020. He was born May 24, 1934, in Wagoner County, OK, to John and Fannie Mae Chalakee. He had worked as a warehouseman for Hale Hassel Food Distribution and was a member of Springtown First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed being the caretaker at Springtown First UMC, fast-pitch softball and bowling. Daniel is survived by his sons, Steven Chalakee and his wife, Nenita of Gautier, MS, Stewart Chalakee of Tulsa, Michael Chalakee and his wife, Kayun of Tulsa; four grandchildren, Maria Guererro and her husband, Felipe, Charles Stephens and his wife, Cathrine, Charline Frost and her husband, Richard and John Daniel Chalakee; his sisters, Martha Jane Chalakee-Reece of Coweta, Louvina L. Frank of Coweta, Nora E. Replogle and her husband, Russel of Broken Arrow, Johnnie L. Greene and her husband, Johnnie of Coweta, Josephine Deere and her husband, Jerry of Okemah. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley Chalakee, his son, Jason Chalakee and his sister, Joann F. Deere.
