Daniel McSpadden Strong, 83, passed away on March 21, 2018 in Tulsa, OK. He was born April 21st, 1934 in Muskogee, OK to Lavoy and James McSpadden.
Lavoy later remarried Col. E.H Strong who soon adopted and raised Dan from the age of 4. Dan is survived by his wife Beverly, Daughter Kathryn and Husband Floyd Hendrix, Son Lt. Col. David Strong and wife Kristen , his son Andy and his wife Lisa, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, his 3 Brothers, Jim McSpadden, Burke McSpadden, Col. Mike Strong and his wife Hetty, and his sister Anita Mcspadden Boone and her husband David.

Dan received his Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Geology at Oklahoma A& M (OSU). He then served as a 2nd lieutenant in the Army Intelligence Corp. in Washington. He received his Master's Degree at the University of Oklahoma in 1959.
Dan was employed by Amerada Hess in Tyler, TX, and Williston, ND. He then worked for Koch Industries in Wichita, KS and was later transferred to Denver, CO as Chief Geologist. He started working for Sampson Resources in Tulsa, OK in 1975.
Dan had a passion for his Family, Teaching Sunday School for 30 years and Jenks Football of which he was a season ticket holder since 1978.
Visitation will be held Friday from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at Moore's Funeral Home at 9350 East 51st Street South, Tulsa, OK. Private Graveside Service will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Fairlawn Cemetery, 1123 E 6th Ave, Stillwater, OK and the Funeral Service at 2:00 PM at Harvard Avenue Christian Church 5502 S Harvard Ave, Tulsa, OK.
