Danny Lee Grimes of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, at the age of 55. Born in Dallas, Texas, on March 29, 1970, Danny was a man with a huge heart, a sharp and dark sense of humor, and a deep love for his children and family.

He is survived by his children, Elisabeth Polzin (Clifford Polzin), Alex Grimes (Unique Grimes), Brandon Grimes, Ethan Grimes, and Shelby Grimes; and his seven beloved grandchildren, Luke, Ella, Gracie, Xion, Eden, Tatum, and Bode, who brought him immense pride and joy.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Leatha Grimes. He is also survived by his brothers, James and Terry Grimes.

Danny loved his family deeply and created traditions that brought joy and connection, including his famous "Grandpa's Green Chili Casserole," a dish his children and grandchildren will continue to make in his memory. He expressed his creativity through drawing, shared laughter through his humor, and found joy in teaching and inspiring those around him.

He shared a particularly close bond with his son Alex-a relationship filled with laughter, understanding, and shared adventures that Danny cherished deeply.

Danny spent much of his life on the road as a truck driver, a career he truly loved, where he met people from all walks of life and experienced the world on his own terms.

The family will be holding a private remembrance in his honor.
