Darlene Lorraine Bartha Cardwell, beloved wife, second mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and sister, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025, in Tulsa OK at the age of 75. Born on April 20, 1950, in Aurora, IL, Darlene was the cherished daughter of the late William Anthony Bartha and the late Phyllis Hochheimer Bartha.

Darlene is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Donald Lewis Cardwell. Darlene is also survived by her sister, Bonnie Bartha, and will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Darlene is lovingly remembered by her stepchildren: William Cardwell (Mary Ann), Carolyn Wiley, Scott Cardwell (Angela) and Robin Riley (Joe). She was a proud step grandmother to Jacquelyn Hoover (Les), Jessica Wofford (Joshua), Kendall Robinett (Kyle), Cory Lee, Casey Cardwell (Tori), Kayla Cardwell and step great grandchildren: Madilyn Hoover, Kaleb Hoover, Tyler Hoover, Rhett Robinett and Kylee Robinett.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Edward "Duke" Bartha.

She was a true Yankee at heart-honest, straightforward, and never one to make you guess what she was thinking. She spoke her mind, but she also spoke her love freely. Her family and friends always knew exactly where they stood with her, and her devotion to them ran deep. She enjoyed a good old game of backgammon, sharing laughs around the table, and she never turned down a classic rum and Coke. And on Sundays, you could always count on her cheering for her beloved Chicago Bears. She will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.

May her spirit continue to guide us with the same honesty, strength, and love she showed every day. We will carry her stories, her laughter, and her fierce loyalty in our hearts always. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy lives on in the family and friends she cherished so deeply.
