Darlene Vonnell Richardson Mann returned to her Heavenly Father on August 22, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 96. She was born December 27, 1921, to Clifford Kathryn Herbert and Lloyd Henry Richardson in Carbon, Texas, and joined an 11 month old brother, Darwin Lloyd Richardson. She was a loving sister to Darwin and her younger brother Lavon Preston who preceded her in death.
Darlene attended Oklahoma University and graduated with a degree in education. She taught school for several years in Texas and Wyoming and then turned to real estate. Darlene married Herbert Mann and made a home for him and three children, Deborah Kay MacNeil of Tulsa , Rebecca Gailyn Williams of Sapulpa, and Herbert Lloyd Mann of Tennessee. She has three grandchildren, Michelle, Daniel, and Jerry, and 10 great grand children.
Darlene worshiped at Asbury United Methodist Church and studied her Bible everyday. She volunteered there for many years, as well as volunteering at Destination Discovery and Tulsa Regional Hospital. She tutored children for many years.
Darlene loved children, gardening, studying her Bible, and visiting with friends and family.
The services are Friday, September 14, with visitation from 10:00-1:00 at Moore Funeral Home 9350 E. 51st Tulsa, and graveside services at 2:00 pm at memorial Park Cemetery.
