Darline is preceded in death by her loving spouse James Harley Reed of 52 years, her father Wilton and mother Pauline Short, sisters Glenda Mason and Martha Short, brothers David, Richard and Edward, daughters April Short and Teresa Scordo and nephew David Short. Darline Reed was a Christian; she accepted Jesus into her heart and knew that one day she would join these loved ones in Heaven.
Darline is survived by son Darrell and wife Stephanie Reed. Grandkids Ember and Mike Graziano, Tawnee and Marcellus Hammond, Taylor and Christine Reed. Darline had a passion for food, not only eating but she enjoyed cooking and sharing her love with others. Darline retired from Wickliffe School in Salina, Oklahoma in 2021 after a long career as a Cafeteria manager. She truly struggled to retire but her body was no longer able to keep up with the manual labor. She carried those memories in her heart and spoke of them often.
Darline loved to travel, she often spoke of places she visited and with whom. The last time she was able to travel her son Darrell and wife Stephanie took her on an Alaskan cruise, this trip truly was a miraculous experience.
