David, 54, was born in Tulsa on January 29, 1960 and passed away on
May 19, 2014.
He married Meri-Sue Medina on July 9, 1994 in Owasso, OK.
David's older brother, Charles Raymond II "Chuck" Bachlor preceded him in death.
David is survived by his parents, Ray Bachlor and Ruth Markley (Bachlor) of Tulsa; his step-mother Dorothy Bachlor; his wife, Meri-Sue Bachlor and daughter, Randi Jo Bachlor; sisters Anne Elfrink and husband Don; Nancy LeSage and husband Mike; Peggy Bachlor and partner Sarah; and step brothers Mike Larue and Kevin Larue and wife, Betty. David also has 6 nephews, 4 nieces, 4 great nephews, and 3 great nieces.
Dave was a teacher of math and history. He played tackle for the Estancia HS football team; earned an AA degree at Orange Coast College and a BA at Armstrong Atlantic State Universitv. He loved sports and was an ardent Tulsa University football fan, never missing a home game with his dad. Dave also loved buying and selling antiques and collectibles, cooking, watching movies, listening to music and singing along, and literally had the gift of gab, able to converse with people from all walks of life about a multitude of topics. The "gentle giant" was sometimes called "dancing bear" by his adoring sisters and was loved by all who knew him. He will be missed dearly.
A service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, May 23, 2014 at Crosstown Church of Christ, 3400 E. Admiral Place Tulsa, OK.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX; or to the Gatesway Foundation in Broken Arrow, OK.
