David Lee Foster, 75, of Tulsa, OK died January 26, 2017. David "Frog" Foster, son of Robert Lee and LaVerna Opal Foster was the loving husband of Carol Leona Foster for 52 years. He passed away at the Pax Villa Hospice in McAllen, TX after a long battle with heart and lung disease.
He is survived by his wife, Carol, three Children, Robert and Lea Andra Foster of Walnut Ridge, AR, Carrie Foster of Tulsa, OK, James and Brittany Foster of Honduras, six grandchildren, Jacob and Natalea (Foster) Morris, Madeleine Foster, Gus Foster, Jake Foster, Abby Foster, and Nicholas Foster, and two very special nieces, Babette Moses of Coffeyville, KS and Yvette Boose of Parker, CO, five siblings, Nan Blair of Rose, OK, Mack Foster of Lakewood, Co, Carol Shull of Sedan, KS, Sally Birkle of Winfield, and Don Foster of Billings, MT.
He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and LaVerna Foster, and nine siblings, LeOpal Royalty, Nina Donohue, William Foster, Mary Clark, Ila Sue and Ima Lou Foster, Lucy Bennett, Daniel Foster, Mickey Armbrister.
Foster was born at home near Wauneta, KS on March 28, 1941. He graduated from Sedan High school in 1957. He served honorably in the US Marine Corps for five years as a cook. He worked in many different roles during his 36 year career at American Airlines. He enjoyed camping, traveling, and his grandchildren. He also enjoyed cooking an over a fire, smoking meat, building and repairing computers, and talking to anyone who would sit still. In retirement, he enjoyed traveling in his RV with his wife camping in 49 states. He says he served in Hawaii and slept in tent there so he had camped in all fifty states.
