On Thursday, February 11, 2021, David Joe Helm, loving son, brother and father of four, went to Heaven at the age of 69 in Broken Arrow Oklahoma.

David was born on December 24,1951 in Broken Arrow Oklahoma, to Suel and Joann Helm. He grew up in Broken Arrow with his seven brothers and sisters.

He started working in construction, where he learned how to remodel, build and do floor coverings in late 1971 to around 2015, during which time he imparted his knowledge and wisdom to his three sons, David Helm II, Jerry Helm and Nicholas Helm. Due to health reasons, he was forced to retire after 2015.

His passions were anything to do with being outside, He enjoyed water skiing, camping, and being at the Lake, and he especially loved Fishing. His other hobbies included collecting coins, mostly the state quarters, and anything Dallas Cowboy related. He also loved to collect black coffee cups, and his favorite Nasar driver, Rusty Wallace memorabilia.

David Joe Helm was preceded in death by his Father, Suel Davis Helm, and his Brother Jerry Lawrence Jr.

David is survived by his wife Rogene Helm; sons, David Helm II, Jerry Helm, and Nicholas Helm; daughter Christi Helm; grandchildren Mykhelah Helm, Hayly Helm, Thomas Helm, Dylan Miron, Shelby Helm, Brayden Helm, Caden Helm, Cameron Helm, Daxson Helm, McKenzie Haney, and Kyleigh Phillips; mother, Joann Fuston; brothers Jerry Helm and James Helm; sisters Jenette Day, Diana Fletcher, Everlyn Chisholm and Helen Phillips.
