David Prime Hall
David P. Hall (D.P.) 88, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, April 13.
He was the son of the late Rupert and Pauline Hall. He moved to Tulsa in 1938 from Lincoln, NE. Hall enrolled at Oklahoma Military Academy on December 7, 1941, the day Pearl Harbor was bombed. He enlisted in the Army Air Corp as an aviation cadet.
Hall was the former Chairman of the Hall Investment Co. He was an avid runner logging over 75,000 miles, polo player as President of the Tulsa Polo and Hunt Club, and past member of The Tulsa Club and SHCC.
Later in life, Hall became a consummate volunteer. His passion was mentoring for TPS, Tulsa Boys Home, Thunderbird Youth Academy. He also volunteered for Hillcrest Medical Center, Junior Achievement, Call Rape, SafePlace, and Mental Health Association.
He was recognized for his outstanding volunteer work notably: Outstanding National Safe Place Volunteer, Call Rape Volunteer of the Year, Oklahoma Education Association's F. D. Moon Award for student education advancement among many others.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Rosalind (Rosie) Hall, his children Grant C. Hall (Bess Livingston), Tracey Hall (Darrell Creamer), Elizabeth Pokorski (John), grandchildren Emily Hutton (Patrick), Elizabeth Hall (John Stoddard), and Robin Starns (Jared), great grandchildren Madelyne and Lincoln Hutton, and Danny Starns.
The family plans a private service at the family ranch which he founded with wife Rosie in 1971.
The family suggests donations to Youth Services, Tulsa Boys Home or a favorite charity.
