David Elwin Prater Sr, 92, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born January 14,1930 in Tulsa, OK, to Benjamin and Winnie Prater. Proud member of the Daniel Webster High School Class of 1947.

Graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a pharmacy degree. Got his pharmacist license in 1951 and kept it active until 2014. Avid golfer for most of his life. Passionately supported all sports that the University of Oklahoma participated in. Was especially pleased this spring when the Sooners won the national championship in softball. Active member of Skelly Drive Baptist Church where he enjoyed the people and the music.

Preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Winnie Prater, his brothers and sisters, Val Lyons, Lula Mae Hudson, Clara Boyd, Ben Prater Jr, Alton Prater, and Joe Prater Sr.

Survived by his daughter, Dana Prater, and his son, David Prater Jr and wife Kimberly; along with grandchildren Matthew Prater and wife Tiffany, Marcus Prater and wife Lorie. Great grandchildren Aria Watson, Colton Prater, and Scarlett Prater. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E 51 st, Tulsa, OK 74145. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233
