David "Dave" L Shelton, 67, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away at his home on December 1, 2025. Born on August 25, 1958, Dave spent his life devoted to the things that mattered most to him: his family, his friends, and the simple joys of golf and fishing.

Dave had an easy laugh and a timeless, old-school sense of humor. He was the kind of person who could make a room lighter just by walking into it-usually with a joke ready. He worked nearly his entire career in the transportation industry, where his work ethic and good-natured personality earned him the respect of colleagues and customers alike.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita May "Pat" Snelson, and his father, James Mark Shelton.

Dave is survived by his wife, Louanne Shelton of Broken Arrow; his daughters Breanna Smith of Wichita, Erin Hargrove, Megan Staat, and Molly Parker, all of Broken Arrow; and his son Seth Hargrove of Wagoner, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his brothers Marc Shelton and wife Carla, and Bob Shelton and wife Arneda. Dave loved each of them deeply, and they brought him tremendous pride and happiness throughout his life.

Due to the inclement weather the memorial service has been postponed to a date that is to be determined. Friends and family are invited to come as they are - Dave would have felt right at home in his golf attire.

Dave's memory will live on in the laughter he sparked, the stories he leaves behind, and the people who loved him most.
