David Eugene Wallis, born in Cushing, OK on April 4th, 1957, passed away on July 23rd, 2024, at his home in Tulsa, OK, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Alison Wallis, and his children: Natalie Perona (husband John) and their daughter Ayla Perona, Andrew Wallis, and Sydney Wallis. He is also survived by his brothers, Donnie Wallis (wife Karen) and Todd Wallis (wife Amy), his sister, Debbie Norton (husband Roger), and step-mother Marilyn Wallis. Preceded in death by his mother Mary Ellen Ware, father Ronald Eugene Wallis, and his son Bryce Wallis.
David grew up in Shawnee, OK, and graduated high school in Tatum, NM. He then went on to study at the college of St. Gregory's University. He spent many years working in the home building business in Texas before settling down in Tulsa, OK, where he met his beloved wife, Alison. By this time, he was a business owner of Wallis Homes LLC. David took immense pride in his work and remained active in the construction industry until his passing.
Known for his exceptional skills in fixing and repairing all, David was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He cherished spending his free time outdoors, engaging in activities such as fishing, hunting, and riding his motorcycle. He was an active member of Philcrest Tennis Club and played competitively in the USTA. David maintained a strong faith throughout his life and attended Redeemer Church.
David was a beloved father, husband, brother, son, and friend. His life was tragically cut short by brain cancer. He leaves a legacy of love, hard work, and unwavering support for those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
David's visitation will be Monday, July 29th, 2024 at Moore Funeral home Southlawn Chapel at 9350 E. 51st St. Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145 from 4:00pm-6:00pm. His memorial service will take place Tuesday, July 30th, 2024 at 10:00am at Redeemer Church 5415 E 101st St, Tulsa, OK 74137.
