David Alan Wasson, 65, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2019 in Tulsa. David was born June 18, 1953 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He was a 1971 graduate of Nathan Hale High School where he played trumpet in the Hale Marching Hundred. He was baptized at the Rogers Heights Christian Church, Tulsa, where he was active in the youth group, and later active at Yale Avenue Christian Church. David attended Oklahoma State University and graduated in 1975 with a Bachelors degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Upon graduation from OSU he was employed as Manager of the Old Washington Street Station restaurant in Kansas City, Missouri. He went on to work for many years in sales for the Bovaird Oilfield Supply Company in Tulsa. David loved spending time with his sons Robert and Michael. He was fortunate to retire early and enjoy time outdoors. He loved fishing, gardening and relaxing around the pool with a good book. He was an excellent chef and loved to cook for the people he loved. He even had a recipe for his famous Mediterranean salad published. In his later years he was able to rediscover and renew his passion fro travel with his loving partner of 26 years, Ronna Robins. David was preceded in death by his parents Ramona and Kenneth Wasson of Tulse. He is survived by Ronna, sons Robert (Carrie Wasson, Bixby, and Michael (Whitney) Wasson, Jenks, brother Larry (Denise) Wasson, Coweta, sister Melinda (Byce) Brannan, Jenks, and many nieces and nephews.
