Deborah R. Evans (Debbie) passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 26, 2024. Debbie was born in Netcong, NJ before moving to NY, then Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is survived by her sister Linda DiBernard; brother David DiBernard, his wife Suzanne (Merz), nieces Shannon V. DiBernard and Avalon P. DiBernard. Also survived by her sister-in-law Dianne Evans and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, loved ones and her four adored cats Spike, Riley, Wally & Sammy. Debbie is predeceased by her beloved soulmate Martin Evans, her parents Henry & Vivian (Cairns) DiBernard, her brother Richard DiBernard and nephew Aidan K. DiBernard.
Debbie worked for American Airlines before moving to Tulsa, then joined Sabre for many years, she was a proud member of the team. Debbie was very happy-go-lucky and helpful which is why she was loved and made so many friends along the way! We are sure everyone has a favorite Debbie story, she loved to tell a story on one subject and end on another, but by the end you would be laughing & love her even more. Debbie loved to travel with Cape May, NJ being one of her favorite places to visit, she was an avid fan of sci-fi, horror movies and a Buffy fanatic. You could call her quirky or even eccentric, but she had a heart of gold.
Debbie's favorite part of life was being Marty's wife. Her devotion to him was constant even after he passed. Debbie loved her family and was committed to taking care of her sister Linda - they were inseparable. Deb always said she had to live with Linda to take care of her and Linda would say she was the one taking care of Debbie-their love as sisters shone through regardless! She will be forever missed.
