Deborah Jayplo George Johnson was born in Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa on June 1, 1967, unto Margaret Geegbae-Toh and David Johnson. She departed this life Sunday, October 13, 2019 at the age of 52 years, 4 month, and 13 days. She had been a resident of Tulsa for forty years, but had lived in Minnesota for 18 of those years and had recently travel back to Tulsa, where she resided for the past year.
Deborah came to the United States in 1979, where she attended elementary, middle, and high school, graduating from Daniel Webster High School in 1986. Deborah worked in the health field all of her life as a Nurse Assistant. She enjoyed socializing with her friends, had daily devotion with the Lord, loved attending church and had a fondness for reading.
Deborah is survived by her four children, Elijah, Anthony, Curtis and Ciatta; her parents, Margaret Geegbae-Toh, her step-father Benjamin Toh, her father David Johnson, and her step-mother Sandra Johnson; her siblings, Lucinda, Reederetta, Sinclair, Reeder Jr., Jonathan, Jacqueline, David Jr., and Dharplue, along with several uncles, aunties, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and a host of relatives in the United States and Liberia. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Anthony Geegbae Sr., step-father Reeder George, her grandmother, Ester Barbie Brown, and her sister, Michelle George
